Dear Parent/Carer,

Pleas
As usual we start with the pleas.

1. Please can you notify us of any holidays you have planned during the coming months as this helps with the billing. Please can you pay your bills by the end of the month that you have received it.
2. Please remember that Robbie and Rose like to go on holiday, they are truly fed up sitting at Head Start watching all the children. If you are planning a holiday, a special event, a weekend, think about these two bears who would love to leave the confines of the school and participate.
3. We do run a library for borrowing Kipper books here. The children really enjoy these books and some recognise the characters and some can read the words. This will give them a head start in their reading. In order to ensure that books do not get lost, we are asking parents who wish to take advantage of this to pay a £5 deposit which will be refunded when your child finishes, provided of course, that a book has not gone missing, in which case we will keep the deposit to pay for a replacement.
4. There are now less than two months until the start of the school holidays. Please therefore can you let staff know as soon as possible of a finishing date if your child is starting school. They are welcome to continue through the summer holidays to provide continuity so a finishing date for September would also be useful to know. At the beginning of next month, I will send out a form about attendance during the holidays.
5. Please can you ensure that your child comes to Head Start with a sun hat and protective sun lotion.
Children who do not have this will not be permitted to play outside as we are very open and exposed to the heat of the sun.
6. If you are happy with the education your child receives at Head Start, would you be kind enough to recommend us to other parents. The best advertisement for our school is by word of mouth, so I would really appreciate it, if you could sing our praises.
7. Please continue to be vigilant about head lice, it seems to have quietened down at the moment, but
we all need to remain alert.
8. If your child is going to take part in the Big Toddle could you let a member of staff know. We will be
taking all the Wednesday children but if your child does not attend that day, you are more than welcome to join us. We will be leaving Head Start at around 11.45 and walking to Newtown Green Playing Field where we will have a picnic. We will then toddle back around 12.45 to arrive back at Head Start for 1.00 p.m. It would be nice to have as many parents as possible join us. Sponsorship forms will be given out now and if you could return them as soon as possible after the event, it would be greatly appreciated.
9. Please can you return the permission form for the school trip as soon as possible with the fee of £9 to cover entrance fees and hire of the coach.
10. Just a reminder that start time for a session is 8.45 in the morning unless an arrangement has been made for an earlier start. Lunch time is 12.30 p.m.

Tesco and Sainsbury Vouchers

We have collected nearly 5000 Tesco vouchers but if you have any lying around anywhere please bring them to the school as soon as possible as they are going on 20th June. We did not collect so many Sainsbury vouchers, so if you have any of those, please bring them as well.
