 Dates for your Diary

Monday 13th June - Friday 17th June - Father’s Week. As I write this newsletter only two Dads have indicated that they want to visit us. Come on the rest of you, it is great fun at Head Start and the children love to have men around, you can practice your football skills or play on the computer and we will even offer you a cup of tea/coffee. Book an appointment.

Wednesday 22nd June  - Big Toddle. I have already covered this under pleas, just a note for your diary.

Thursday 30th June - Mrs. Hales’ s Party. This will be Mrs. Hales final day as she starts her maternity leave, (although she will be joining us on the school trip) and so we will be having a fun morning with cake and lots of excitement. If you would like to join us with your child, please come along around 10.30 a.m.

Friday 1st July - School trip to Long Sutton Butterfly Park. Children will need to arrive at Head Start for 9.00 a.m, if you need to drop them off earlier because of work commitments that is fine. Each child will need their own named booster seat for the coach. Please be aware that we have had problems in the past with some of the seats being too big, so ideally a simple booster cushion is preferable. Children will need to come with appropriate clothing. Obviously we are all hoping that the weather will be great but it may be that you need to consider wellies but even so they will need good walking shoes. Suitable outdoor clothing dependent upon the weather. We will take their sun lotions and apply accordingly but they will need a sun hat as the area is very exposed. All children will need a named packed lunch. We will be taking water and cups so they will be able to access drinks throughout the day. Children will need to some pocket money which should be in a named purse which will be given to the person in charge. I would suggest £3 - £5 for treats. There is a shop for souvenirs and then they may wish to purchase an ice-cream. We plan to be back at Head Start at 3.00 p.m. and you should make arrangements accordingly to collect your child. Children who normally attend on a Friday can be picked up as per usual.

Saturday 16th July - Baby Shower. Although Mrs. Queripel is not going on maternity leave until the end of August, as many of you will probably be on holiday once the school holidays have started, we have decided to hold the Baby Shower at my house (3 Church Close, Ramsey Forty Foot) on 16th from 12 noon until 2.30 p.m. We will be having a barbecue and there will be entertainment for the children. Whilst we will provide food, it would be helpful if you could bring your own drinks along. Please fill in the slip below and return by the end of June so that we know numbers for catering.
