Educational Funding

The school participates in the early years educational funding programme. Grants are available to your child from the term after their third birthday, e.g. if your child’s birthday falls between 1st January and 31st March and he/she is three the grant will be paid from the summer term until he/she becomes five years old. Your child will be entitled to 15 hours of free education, which can be spread over the school year. You are able to share the grant between different settings.

Grant forms are distributed at the end of each term for the following terms. Proof of your child’s date of birth needs to be provided, e.g. birth certificate, passport etc.

Please note that normal charges will apply for all periods and services such as lunch times and pre– and after school care which are not covered by the grant.

If you choose to maximise on the grant during periods when it is payable e.g. your child attends for the full five sessions, you can reduce the number of sessions attended to a minimum of two during periods when it is not in force, e.g. school holidays.

Autumn Term 2010

Starts - Monday 6th September

Half term - 25th - 29th October

Grant ends - Friday 17th December

Spring Term 2011

Starts - Monday 10th January

Half term - 21st - 25th February

Grant Ends - Friday 8th April
