Admissions

The school is open to every family in Ramsey and the surrounding community and we offer places according to availability.

Staff

It is the policy of this school to positively value and respect all people . We take account of their gender, ethnic origins/racial groups, religions, cultures and linguistic backgrounds. A member of staff is employed because that person is considered to be the best person for the job and has undertaken the necessary training. The name of the ENCO at Head Start is Mrs. Jane Cracknell.

Families

The school recognises that there are many different types of family groups and will offer support in every situation.

Festivals

Staff are aware of the diversity of backgrounds in our society and aim to acknowledge and celebrate festivals from different cultures.

The Curriculum

The children will be respected and their potential and individuality recognised, valued and nurtured. Activities, resources and play equipment will be managed to offer both boys and girls opportunities to develop in an environment free from prejudice and discrimination. Appropriate opportunities will be given to children to explore, acknowledge and value similarities and differences between themselves and others.
